Frequently Asked Questions

Why use a Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach?

Fifteen years ago, only celebrities and wealthy people could afford a personal trainer, but today The Fitness Coach makes personal training affordable and accessible. Coach Marty Weil will help you design a safe, effective fitness program and will be an excellent source of motivation and accountability – two of the main reasons that our exercise and health regimens often fail on our own.

Why is In-Home Personal Training the answer for many people?

Few people have the time or motivation to "hit the gym" three to five times a week. In fact, most people already have fitness equipment at home but are not using it or getting results for various reasons. The Fitness Coach will train and coach you in the comfort and privacy of your own home with measurable results. Visit the Testimonials section and see what real people have to say about The Fitness Coach!

Each client is responsible for the cost of having The Fitness Coach as a guest at their local health club.

What kind of equipment do I need?

Your equipment needs and/or health club membership will vary based on your goals and objectives. Most people simply need a treadmill and some basic weights in order to meet their fitness goals. The Fitness Coach will help you design a program that works within your schedule and helps you meet your goals.

How do we get started?

The Fitness Coach will meet with you for an initial consultation to discuss your goals and objectives and also review your exercise environment.
Together, you will complete a "Health History and Lifestyle" questionnaire.
The Fitness Coach will then conduct a personal fitness assessment to gauge your current fitness level (aerobic capacity, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility and body fat) and will discuss your dietary habits.
Finally, a written, specific fitness program will be developed for you based on your interests, schedule and time availability.

How soon can you expect to see results?

Results are based on several factors including, but not limited to, the following:

Your current fitness level and how often you exercise
Your current diet and your willingness to make some dietary changes
Your commitment to the proposed fitness program. In essence, you are in control of the end results, but most people who are overweight can safely lose 1-2 pounds per week until achieving their goal weight. However, keep in mind, there are several factors that you cannot control that may impact your results. These include:

  Genetics
  Age
  Body type
The amount of time you have you have to dedicate to exercise (minutes per day / days per week).

How do we track your results?

During the initial fitness assessment The Fitness Coach will take baseline measurements and supply you with a detailed spreadsheet to track your results on your computer. Working together, we will track, review and monitor your results on a regular basis.

How much does it cost?

The initial consultation is free. The cost for the fitness assessment and developing a written, customized fitness program is a one-time fee of $195. Monthly fees are based on your specific needs and the number of one-on-one training sessions you request. If you choose to participate in The Fitness Coach program you will be billed on a monthly basis.
